Hello.....I'm Michelle Carpenter, a qualified humanistic/integrative counsellor based in Bournemouth, also covering Poole and Christchurch. I'm a member of the National Counselling Society and run my own private practice.
Before counselling, I worked for 15 years in the emergency services, supporting colleagues through trauma and crisis. This gave me experience with people facing mental health challenges, addiction, homelessness, and more, always with a calm and non-judgmental approach.
I've supported survivors of sexual assault at the Shores (SARC) and worked with young people through the Prince’s Trust, focusing on trust, honesty, and emotional support. My passion for understanding people led me to train as a counsellor. I now offer 1:1 sessions, helping clients feel heard, supported, and empowered.
Alongside counselling, I teach Community Pilates, promoting body awareness and adapting sessions for all ages and abilities and I also offer a range of complimentary holistic therapies. I'm a qualified fitness instructor and an avid runner, swimmer, and dog walker.
For me, physical and mental well-being go hand in hand. Feel free to get in touch to see how my services and I can help you reach your full potential in life.
